Pics of finished walls and floor

http://s117.photobucket.com/albums/o68/ ... d%20floor/

I installed the floor today - went pretty damn easy as long as you have help!

Mike

Tomorrow painting will start ( fan in room to help dry the one part of the plaster ) as long as that spot is dry in the plaster, if not then Sat will be painting :)
Monday the cabinets will be moved in, and then whenever the neighbor makes me my countertops, it will almost be done!

Looking good 8)

I like the color of the floor!
My place is covered in a dark wood laminate flooring and it's beginning to get on my nerves

thats the floor. Cheap, but has excellent reviews from people. We sahll see if it lasts for years to come.

Our cabinets will be dark so we wanted a lighter floor to compensate. Wont be long till you see the whole thing :)

Mike

painting..YUK..I need plastering done with the color already included

looks like I've got some kitchen work to do in the next couple weeks. Water line to the ice maker leaked and ruined the hard wood floors under the fridge, and about a foot out in front. I ripped up the damaged planks under the fridge and the subfloor seems to be ok, so hopefully I have enough of the floor wood left and I can just cut and replace what I ripped out.

nice work on your kitchen.

Thanx - I hate water leaks! had to order new gaskets for the dishwasher because it leaks at the corners :(

Best tip for an ice maker - DONT use those cheap white plastic lines, use the braided metal looking lines!

Mike

Hope you can still buy your flooring somewhere if you need it! Under the fridge it wont be too bad if you have to kinda match something up, but you will always know it is there even if you cant see it :)

I just had a mouse work it's way through a small hole where the plumbing went through the wall. It decided to chew the rubber bottom trap on the dishwasher. Turned on the dishwasher, went downstairs to mod... and had the ceiling start pouring wet food waste on my project. Thankfully we're planning on renovating that area anyways.

yeah... I think I have enough left to fix the visible part, so like you said, even if I have to match it won't be too bad. Thing about it is, the plastic line had been working fine for over a year. And even when I pulled the fridge out to check it, the leak was so small I had to wipe and wait like 30 seconds to even see it bubble back up. One of those things you never think to worry about, until you are tripping over your flooring.
