man oh man this is INSANE...

I'm not sure what to tell you to do! Whats this guys name and address? I"ll post his info up on a few forums and get him black balled if he ever tries to do any trading on there. I also know a private investigator that can get some info on the guy. So if you want to mess with his head (ie: knowing his family's names, license plate numbers, or even bank account numbers) it can be done. No mercy for those who lie, steal, and screw people over.

His name is komsoth Mao, the address listed on the envelope is:
347 E 17th ST #1
Long Beach, CA 90806
his Ebay name is khmerluva562, paypal is [email protected]

The guy is a real piece of work. I ought to forward you the 10-15 emails since this began, it has been one lie after another once he got my money. We agreed that he would overnight it, didn't do it, b ut kept saying it had been shipped. After I filed formal complaints against him, it suddenly gets shipped day before yesterday...so thats a huge lie right there. Then it was supposed to be a sealed retail box, just like the auction I missed, all I got was the empty plastic container with the heatsink and fan, no proc, no paperwork. He emailed me last night basically telling me to prove it, and that he had to take it out of the box because it wouldn't fit in the envelope...
I'm a real honest guy, I don't mess with anyone, and up until this past friday was very patient and nice with him.
On the shitty side, I have all this proof, and haven't heard back from one agency or paypal yet. After this finishes up, I'm going on a serious "boycott paypal" crusade

This is odd... I put that name in Google... Not very common and I got a hit. What is even more interesting is that it's a person in Long Beach! Sure it's a guy that you are dealing with?

It's a page for the Cambodian Student Society at CSU Long Beach back from 2002!

Image

Name: Komsoth Mao
Year: Freshmen
School: CSULB
Major: Liberal studies
Hobbies: Hanging out with friends, going shopping, and going to the TV tapings with the CSS members (hehe).

Site linky

UPDATE: I did another search on "khmerluva562" and I found some postings on a Cambodian sites forum. Under this name and the site is also from Long Beach. (http://www.mujestic.com/m_o_v_e_m_e_n_t___) She talks in the forum about seeing a group perform at El Dorado Regional Park. I looked the park up and it turns out that the park is in Long Beach....

This could be your lady

dude - btw....tha's bull**** on fry's part....i'd get the name of the general store manager, his boss (regional super./mgr.) - then get the name of his f*cking boss.....you bitch high enough up the food chain, you'll get it back on that end...you'll at least get a different processor cause they can send that one back to intel.....

one decent part about dealing with most retail operations...you bitch far enough up the chain you will eventually get somewhere...

also - two other options if they continue to be obstinant....a.) take out an ad in the local paper talking about how they screwed you on the product...and send a copy to their marketing department.... or b.) spend $25 bucks in small claims court and odds are good their legal council won't even show up...most judges will give you a summary judgement by default and you can represent yourself....small price to pay to get your processor out of them....

tha's total crap from fry's....not what you agreed to....you agreed to pay them money for functional components...not your fault that it was crapped out while in storage in their stock room...you kept your end of the deal when your wife paid em....they are screwing you on a technicality...

Thats so funny... I never thought to Google the person!!! Great, it also happens to be a girl, so you know where law enforcement sympathy is going to fall.
For now I am going to be cool and try to let the law enforcement and legal system handle it. If nothing else, I have some "friends" who are in the area, San Diego, that have already volunteered to pay him/her a visit. nothing like being able to turn a SEAL team loose on someone.
As to Fry's, I did get a new processor, but the whole ordeal to me was embarrassing and unnecessary. The original clerk apologized and even said he has seen 3 processors returned for the same reason. It was the assitant store manager and dept manager that were awful, being very rude and loud, then making me write a statement and sign papers for 45 minutes. Needless to say, i'll never shop Fry's again.

Fry's really does suck. I would go online and file a complaint against the store you shopped in.........It will be read and something done about it if that store has more than one complaint against it............I've seen more than one store manager lose his job for less......... Hook all their butts up...........I hate seeing people being taken advantage of...........I think you SEAL buddies will fix the other problem...............I've seen those boys work................I'd hate to be on the wrong side of any of them..........

I emailed her the pic, not a link, just cut n paste. First she says "Where did you get that pic", then she says "I don't know who that is".....maybe Komsoth Mao is like Bob Smith in Asia.
I am going to try and do this th right, legal way.
Now her tune is "Someone must have stolen it in the mail, although the package was stillperfectly sealed when I got it. What kind of idiot sends a $500 processor in an envelope, and doesn't bother insuring it?

One more thing. Do you still have the envelope it was sent in? Check and see if there is a shipping weight printed on it. Sometimes they'll put it on the envelope for charging purposes before it's shipped. If it's on there then measure the plastic, the envelope, and the parts from the box your wife purchased and note the difference.

As for Fry's, whenever I have a problem where a clerk won't accept a return or something of that nature, I get loud. I have a loud voice as it is so when I start yelling "My GOD! You can't be serious! This is absolutely the worst service I have ever experienced! I'm taking my business elsewhere!" I usually get every person above clerk there to help me out and shut me up.

It seems like the phrase "customer service" is fading away and being replaced by "not my fault." Not smart when it's getting more and more difficult to pull customers through your doors.

Okay, update time. Paypal won't do anything to help me. They say that the 20 something emails i have are useless because it is too easy to fake them, so they won't even try to get my money back. They apologized and said that i should have read their terms of servie information better (like it was my fault for using their service)
I talked to the long Beach PD, they can't help because I'm out of state, but have several Mao's on their fraud list. The return address on the package does not exist, and the senders name (Sengler) is not the same as the seller. Basically i'm screwed. I am still waiting on the FBI and IFCC, and Trollhunters has been helping me, but everyone seems to agree, I'm screwed.
Maybe i'm going to have to get nasty about this, the detective told me you can rip people off on the net all you want at $500 a pop, it isn't until it hits the $500-1000 range that anyone will do anything. I'm not sure what is next, but it took me a long time to come up with that money, and I can't afford to lose it, any ideas?

yeah I guess thats the way it is looking. I don't like being nasty, I don't like taking things into my own hands, but geez there has been so little empathy and compassion on this. I figured with everything I had to support my claim it would be open and closed quickly.
As to Pay-pal, I will never deal with them again, and highly recommend anyone else dealing with them as well.
On the other front, the Fry's thing festered on me all night, so I called and talked to the store manager..her reply "I'm sorry, but what do you expect me to do?" !!!!????!!!!

I'm afraid I would have lost it, and gone off............I sort of have that kind of problem every now and then (PTSD). I really try to let my wife handle problems like that.........The last time I really lost it the VA wanted to lock me up for 90 days for more treatment............. Took alot of talking to get out of that one...........and my wife had to sign for me..........

The PayPal account that you sent the money to, if you open the transaction up does it show an address for the userid. I know when I sell something to someone it shows their address and if it is verified or not. Since you sent money it may not show their address.

Well, its official. Paypal has told me they will do nothing to recover my money. Even though I have more than 20 emails from the seller where the person repeatedly lies, and support from Long Beach PD who found out the return address on the envelope was bogus (what kind of perosn is going to send a $500 CPU in an envelope, with no insurance, and a bogus return address?).
Just so you all know. Paypal said if you go to their main page, within 4 clicks you will find a statement saying all transactions are at your own risk, regardless of their cover page which makes you believe it is a safe and secure way to deal. Stay clear of paypal. Also according to paypal, email correspondence cannot be used as evidence in a case like this, you have to have typewritten or handwritten letters to support your claim.
Please dear firends, learn from this idiot and boycott paypal and ebay, to me they are just as slimey as the people that stole from me.
