I think i spent around 600. The most expensive part was the upper with barrel. Lower was 100, and 45 for the parts kit. But that price does not include all the mags i now own.

i like .223 better because i can get 1000 rounds for around 95 bucks.

Go .223, very cheap and easy to get rounds.... as far as mags I might be able to get you some 30 round mags after I talk to my brother.

hmmm, ok, I know this is a little off topic, but three questions: 1. is ALL that your land?? 2 & 3. IF it is your land, how much per acre and how many acres. It must be a good deal to be able to use it as your own personal shooting range, lol. It's an awesome-looking plot too, aesthetically pleasing to say the least :)

1. all what you see in the pics is mine, bought it with the house 3 years ago........... There's only really 3 acers that are mine, but there are 600 behind my place that are empty, for now at least. The owner of the 6000 is a good friend of mine so I have no problems shooting. Most everyone out here where I live sight in their hunting rifles on their own property and hunt if they want to........ 8)

If you get a AK, get the older AK-47's with the milded steel frame, much higher quality. The AK-74 are made out of stamped steel halves and are pretty much crap and are only good for general area fire..............

I guess it's just me Bio, but personally the land you have is a lot more beautiful than most of the mass amounts of land down here. Most of the mass land plots are red clay and some grass, but looks like a wasteland in a way. That's actually green and living, like a mini-forest almost. Reason why I asked all these questions is because, believe it or not, MO is a place I'm considering making my move to. I'm looking into some things, and certain places close to St. Louis are actually as cheap as it is down here comparably speaking (house size, plot size, etc). It's going to be after I graduate from Tech, and I plan on starting to look at some of the universities up there so I can make an informed decision of where I should transfer my college credits. Think it's a bad choice in venue for myself, considering I'm looking for a decent IT or networking job and like land? I also like meadowy land, just another thing I guess.....

The cheap land and general low cost of living is why I moved here from Colorado.................... Costs about half as much to live here as it did back home. I live about a hour outside of St Louis and land and homes are pretty cheap still, I paid around $120,000 for my place (brand new), whick I think is a pretty good deal....................... 8)

Damn, now that's better than even here in South Carolina. For three acres and I'm assuming you have 3 bedrooms 2 baths, out in the good part of the country, it costs around 130K at least, and the land doesn't look anywhere near what it does over there. Ok, I think my mind is made up here.....now to my second question, and I guess I should hit Apop up on this: how are tech jobs over there? If they're available and pay well, I'm definitely moving. I'm 22, and even though my parents say don't move don't move you'll need your parents, I'm trying to get to the point where I can be completely self-sufficient, and hey, if anything happens, I guess I better make some friends (not that I don't already have some, I just need to get to know them :) ). But yeah, my mind's made up because it costs way too much to live anywhere else that I was wanting to move.

My son works for a large tech company in St Louis and from what he tells me, there's plenty of jobs out there in the tech field. He doesn't have a high-end job, he's just a HW tech for Savis Corp, but he's happy with it I guess............... 8)

That will be enough for me IMO. I have enough hardware experience to make informed decisions like that, and to maintain systems. Of course, I'll have to "unstick" myself from enthusiast mode to business mode (good cheap solutions over high-end gaming and performace solutions). What's the base salary for a job like that out there? I was trying to look on salary.com, but I forgot I already got my free personal report for here in SC. Down here it's like 30-35K for the median, based on experience in the field, but I would like to know the base pay for the job. They also said that living in MO would be 2.8% more expensive than SC, but from what I'm hearing, it appears to be cheaper, so I believe they're going on an average, and considering STL is counted in this, it's no wonder, lol. Heard it was a little expensive to live in the city. Thank goodness I already own a house, so that way I can sell it, pay off my current mortgage, and still have around a 20K down payment for a new place. Anyways, I know it's a lot to write for so little, but I always have a lot to say, lol

I bought my house for $206K two years ago last month, I just refied it to get a better rate and it appraised for $460K. I used to tell my friends this was a great place to move and a good opportunity to get a nice house in a rapidly growing city.....it still is if you huint for the right house, but not nearly what it was 1 1/2 to 2 years ago....its getting crazy expensive with all the Californians moving here.

yeah, it's gonna cost like 2 to 3 times as much to move that way, lol. From what I've heard from a lot of people who are from Cali and around that area, 200K is enough to buy..........welllll...........a shack. Now, I've never been to either Nevada or Cali, so I couldn't make a rock-solid conclusion on that. I'm really just looking for a good cheap place to live where jobs are plentiful and I can be near friends (well, frankly, the only friends I still have are the ones on here, yeah you guys are that good!; maybe one over here, but he's flaky). Believe me, if there's a good tech company looking for a network security tech/admin, or IT guy, or even a PC operator, and can pay for relocation and a good apt or start me on a house, then hell I most certainly would move to one of those places. I have a lot of options on my hands: move to Greensboro, NC and go to North Carolina A&T to get my Bachelor's in Computer Science or Computer Tech; then there's also the STL area and Truman University. It's amazing your house was reappraised at 460K there man. Lots of options, we'll just have to see what suits me when I get out of college. I know I want to move out of state as SC is becoming rather old and boring, not to mention full of fricking slow (mentally, in speech, and physically), stubborn-arse idiots. So yeah, a good change in scenery is welcome, even now if I had the resources, lol.

AK's, SKS's, AR-15's, MP5's, P90's heck even a .50 cal machine gun is legal to own and use in Missouri. I've seen people with an anti-aircraft turret with like 4 .50 cals on it being used here on machine gun days at a local gun range.

Ever play counter strike? Remember that .50 cal AWP Sniper rifle? My local gun dealer has several at the shop. They are trying to ban those because a few .50 cal rounds through an airplane could bring it down.
