iPhone released today

The much hyped Apple iPhone is going to be released in about 25 minutes (6pm - local time, Indiana)

I've been watching Twitters of people standing in line, and video streaming from the same places... even though I'm not getting one, I'm getting swept away in craze.

even in O'Fallon (town west of STL) there was a line outside of a cingular store of about 20 (or more) people. I was going to the White Castle next to the store when I saw the line and all I could think of was "It's just a damn phone" the girl behind the counter at WC said that they had been there all day.

Think they will be hacked when they find out that it sucks when it comes to being used as a phone? I do.

One of my friends stood in line for "a couple of hours" (?!?! ?!?!) to grab up his 8GB one. He showed it to me today and I've got to say, it's got a GREAT interface. Vastly superior to anything I've seen on the market...but jeez... $600?!?! Is this phone supposed to be 3G? Also, my friend tells me that there is a $20 surcharge per month for it...not sure why since he just came from a Treo with every network option.

It's hella nice though....but $600?!?!??

Well we went into a mac store because we are prob going to get a mac for the G/F, and they have full working models of these on the floor. I mean they could make calls surf the web, etc... For the most part the phone seems pretty cool with all its new features. Though the only thing i can see making it worth 600 bucks is the bandwagon its currently on.
