NEW YORK (July 1) - It's a funeral fit for a superhero. In the drizzling rain at Arlington National Cemetery, thousands of grieving patriots solemnly watch as the pallbearers - Iron Man, the Black Panther, Ben Grimm and Ms. Marvel - carry a casket draped with an American flag.

Yes, folks, Captain America is dead and buried in the latest issue of Marvel Comics' "Fallen Son," due on newsstands the morning after Independence Day. After 66 years of battling villains from Adolf Hitler to the Red Skull, the red, white and blue leader of the Avengers was felled by an assassin's bullet on the steps of a New York federal courthouse.
Not to sure what to think about this.

yeah this is old news. My thinking is its Marvel, they'll bring him back in one incarnation or another. Bold move on Marvel's Part. He's been around since WWII. Maybe they won't bring him back, and come with a new person in his genre. That being said, I haven't bot a comic in years, but have been keeping up with things. I'll probably buy this one, the comic book store is within walking distance of work, might go on my lunch break

I haven't bought one in years myself either, come across the link in another forum and thought to myself "how could they kill off Capt. America"

Never thought about him being replaced, could be interesting to see what they do though.
