Plagiarism?

Post by DMB2000uk »

I was randomly googling myself (Just wondering what future employers Googing my name might find about me) and one of the things I came across was this 'blog'

http://gpu-blog.net.ru/

Nothing special, but the page that google threw up for me was:

http://gpu-blog.net.ru/?year=2007&mon=6&day=25&id=137

Thats a transcript of a forum post on here, so I searched for me on the blog and found another:

http://gpu-blog.net.ru/?year=2007&mon=6&day=25&id=120

I can't make out what the hell this 'blog' is meant to be. All the entries look like they have just all been copied and pasted from forums across the net!

What do you all think of it?

This is my test of Google index bot and AdSense, and i have no time for writing "my own" content O:)

Yes. All. From 2 other forums (NVidia and ATI).
Just looks like a leach site to get money from google adsense.

I can see this going to the old debate of wether everything on the interent is free to use or not.

If I post a message on a free and open forum, can it be used elsewhere without my permission? probably.

is it rude to do so? YES

I dunno, I think we have all lost any little bit of privacy once we connected to the net.

Mike

I am sure it is a debate that will go on for a LONG time and probably with no clear winners or losers.

If I copy and paste something from Microsofts website, is it illegal? sigh

Plagiator - you are wrong (in character) for doing it without the peoples permissions or even the sites permission.
Remember, I am opinionated and nothing I say or do reflects on anyone or anything else but me :finga:

plagiator why not mention Legit Reviews on your blog? You still get the adsense $$$, and we get some more publicity 8)

Or how about you take it down, before you copy and paste from someone that decides to sue you.

You can get in trouble for copying and pasting anything and labeling it as your own. If you copy and paste, you MUST note who originally typed out those words.
