i am planning on going for computer engineering, and i was wondering, anyone of you out there get a BS in CEN or CS and if you did, what are you doing for work?(assuming it's actually related to computers)

Re: College Major
A long time ago, in a galax...rather when I first started college, I was seriously considering a computer major but that slowly and surely change to a Math major with a minor in Physics. I have my Assc of Applied Sciences, concentration in Mathematics, and I'm taking a year off to get my life in order before heading off to a 4yr college to get my Bachelor's and Master's Degrees, then hopefully move on to my PhD dissertation. I'm still not sure what field I'd like to go into but I just finished my first year of calculus so there's plenty more out there. I have been reading some interesting books though, my most recent reads are "The Golden Ratio", "An Imaginary Tale: The Story of the √-1" and "Incompleteness: The Proof and Paradox of Kurt Gödel" and I'm currently working on "The Equation That Couldn't Be Solved"...yeah I'm sick
. About the only "work" I've done in that field though is some math tutoring at the college, talk about frustrating!

Re: College Major
Frustrating but not surprising, many college grads do NOT work in their field. Thats one reason I prefer a trade school over college.
