5. How did the pear get inside the brandy bottle? It grew inside the bottle. (The bottles are placed over pear buds when they are small, and are wired in place on the tree. The bottle is left in place for the entire growing season. When the pears are ripe, they are snipped off at the stems.)

6. Three English words beginning with dw Dwarf, dwell and dwindle.

7. Fourteen punctuation marks in English grammar . . Period, comma, colon, semicolon, dash, hyphen, apostrophe, question mark, exclamation point, quotation marks, brackets, parenthesis, braces, and ellipses.

I didn't spend much time on the questions, but I got #5, 6, 7, and 9 off the top of my head. Probably never would have guessed #1, possibly not 2, definitely not 3, probably would have gotten 4 if I would have thought harder, and probably never would have gotten 8.

I got a couple of them... those are tough!

They seem so hard when you first read the question, and yet, the answers seem so obvious! Great topic!
