When will our baby be born?

Post by moon111 »

I'll take a page out of Amy's book and ask.... when will our baby be born, how long, and how much will it weigh?
This will be our 4th kid, scheduled for January 14.

well I was too early on amy, but learned that the first child is usally late... Since this is your fourth (congrats) I'd have to say... January 11th if it's a boy and January 10th if it's a girl. ;) Weighing in at 8lbs 7 ounces.

You need an additional three more to match our family size.

January 7th in the am with a birth weight of 5lbs-9ozs. That's a big guess from not knowing much else.

Well Illuminati was off by two ounces.

For the first time, the baby wasn't taken early. Baby Owen came out today at 10lbs 6 ounces.

This was the smallest of our four kids.

The premature baby was 10lbs 13 ozs. The next two were 11lbs 4ozs.

He's been shipped to another hospital with a great neonatal intensive care unit. He's suffering from
Persistent Pulmonary Hypertension so we're not out of the woods yet.

Basicly PPH is when the baby doesn't switch bloodflow over to the lungs when born. In the womb they get their oxygen from the umbilical cord.
It's a condition that can go downhill very quickly. Thankfully our baby is now breathing on his own without oxygen. All he needs to do is start
gainning weight and he'll be home. Babies with PPH are about a 1:700 chance.
