I just heard on the news. I didn't listen to the story I just happened to hear it. Supposedly you can't send letters to anybody in the military overseas anymore... WEIRD. Talk about the government doing weird things lately. Including all online stores will have to charge tax.. Meaning after the 1st of the year.. we all pay tax to newegg... hurting. I guess its because they realised how much debt we had. 150,000+ dollars for EVERY man woman and child in the US

They are probably charging the tax on online retail because nobody is adding online purchases to their tax returns.

Welcome to the land of the fee! I suppose you mean Federal tax? Sales tax is supposed to be the realm states, if the feds gettin their hands in that cookie jar it would be a new development. Remember when they tried to put a 5 cent tax on every email?
Next time our son calls (or we call him) I'll ask about the letter thing, he's active military. I don't see it happening, those guys would stage a revolt if they didn't get letters and care packages. Heck they have online access at on base WIFI cafes, blog about the goings on, web cam with their wife and kids, and carry digital cameras (I bought him his). What would be the point of stopping letters when they have that level of access?
