Pope taken to hospital

Post by LVCapo »

Well, he's 84, isn't Jack LeLain and now he has the flu. The news said they took him to the hospital, so I'm thinking it isn't going to be much longer that he's around.
I'm a Catholic, so its sad to me, but he has been a great Pope who has really made a good mark on the world. No Mother Teresa, but she was one of a kind.

Pope John Paul II was taken to the hospital late Tuesday with an acute respiratory infection, the Vatican told CNN. Earlier Tuesday, the Vatican announced that the 84-year-old pontiff -- who suffers from a number of chronic ailments -- had canceled his public and private meetings for the next few days, including his general audience on Wednesday, due to a bout with influenza.

 How respectful of you to notice

You know he's been hanging on for quite awhile, but the latest news was it was mostly precautionary to take him to the hospital.
I'm not catholic, but I don't think the world needs any more upheaval/uncertainty right now
