Over a stupid logo that is nowhere near the Mac logo.
How would this confuse a mac user?

I was reading through the comments and I’m glad someone has actually posted what's really going on. As you said, NYC filed for a trademark and ANY trademark submission has a 30 day challenge process, that's all Apple is doing.
No one is suing anyone.
read some more of the comments... i dont think Apple is suing yet

My bad, I hear 'legal battle' this day and age and automatically think lawsuit.

OK, here's my art conspiracy ... Notice the Big Apple birdie? Well, take the birdie to the right side of the apple, then subtract it. Now you get Apple computers' logo.

Well, the stem on both of them look identical in a mirror image sort of way.
HEY, so when did NYC go from being a RED apple to a Green apple now ??? Oh, that's right, they want to charge more taxes.

Apple should just cave and change their logo to a Lemon. When I see Apple computers prices it certainly makes a certain art of my anatomy pucker.
