Even after potential fuel problems, he has finally completed his trip!Millionaire adventurer Steve Fossett landed safely Thursday at the airport where he started his nonstop, round-the-world flight, becoming the first ever to complete such a mission solo and without refueling.
The Virgin Atlantic GlobalFlyer touched down at 1:49 p.m. CT Thursday at the Salina airport in central Kansas, just over 67 hours after Fossett began his one-man odyssey Monday evening. In all, Fossett travelled 23,000 miles (36,800 kilometers) around the world.
