Oil rebounds on word Israel practiced Iran attack

Oil futures rebounded Friday as Pentagon officials said a large scale Israeli military exercise in the eastern Mediterranean early this month could have been a demonstration of Jerusalem's ability to attack Iranian nuclear facilities.

Up to 100 advanced Israeli combat jets were reported to have taken part in the drill over Greece and other areas of the eastern Mediterranean.

The exercise was tailored to prepare for long-range strikes and focused on air-to-air refuelling and target assessment, Pentagon officials told The New York Times.

The paper reported that more than 100 Israeli jets staged the manoeuvre. It said the aircraft flew more than 1440km, roughly the distance from Israel to Iran's Natanz nuclear-enrichment facility.

If Israel does attack, I hope they wait til after the Olympics.

No I don't, I just think the Olympics would be a total mess. I wouldn't go near China during the games.

9. US and EU simultaneously invade china, using non nuclear force
10. china fights back with nukes (which are of course blow out of the sky by the us' air born laser), all china's nuclear facilities cease to exist
11. since north Korea hates china and the us, they take the chance to get in on all the fun.
12. bush is elected to a 3rd term because of the crisis
13. North Korea is taken over, all its nuclear facilities destroyed with conventional force
