I'm just as lost as you, as 2.5km really isn't that far to go either, especially at a jog...

A movie called Napoleon Dynamite included a character that "would have gone pro" right after high school. He was bragging to his nephew that he could throw a pigskin a quarter mile, and "I bet I could throw one over that mountain"

I am assuming that is where kappage got that from.

Yes it is from that movie. And i actually see that 2.5km done in about 9-10minutes is a rather successfull jog, Also it is up hills i am in the hills here in Western Australia.

 How did I miss that reference?

Anyhow, I guess we call a jog something else here in America...to us a jog is a slower pace that gets the heartrate up but doesn't really stress the cardiovascular system much (a "leisurely jog" for instance), an average of 9-10mph isn't to bad at all, congrats!

Ah... never did finish watching that movie, and don't remember a lot about it. Think I got 15-20 minutes in before I shut it off.

I'm working on it, got slowed down by being super busy with a couple jobs for a period of time.

Just finished week 2, did 15/15/12/12/25ish pushups.

Pullups are significantly more difficult, I'm thinking I should drop down to an easier level for those, I'm somewhere around 10/10/8/6/7.

I'm right along with Zelig (minus the pullups), I had been going strong for a week or so then I got my Portacath removed (minor chest surgery) and that killed all the progress I had made. Back up to speed though around week 2...

Cool that some of you guys stuck with it also :drinkers:

I just started week 3, at my post-week 2 test I could do 40 straight. Which is about double what I started at in the beginning.

The first day of week 3 is a killer... 25-17-17-15-25. That is 99 pushups in less than 10 minutes.

I actually saved the PDF file of the increments on my phone so I can keep this up over my vacation in Ocean City, MD next week.

I have decided to start this, and I have a friend who is going to do it with me so we can keep each other at this.

Did the initial test on Friday and got 25. Going to start the regime on Monday. ^_^

Anybody completed the training yet?

Not yet, my body isn't as quick to recover coming off chemo (back in June) as I'd have hoped...I'm still pushing myself though, in week three now and bicycling everyday. I already feel better though and have been getting a few more looks than I used to :finga:

I got all the way through 3 weeks. I started week 4 and felt some pain in my elbow (I dislocated it while drunkenly wrestling with a friend [Arm-bar]).

After the 1st day of the 4th week I couldn't do a single pushup without pain. I have decided to stop the program for this reason. I also sprained my foot, so that hurts progress also.

I might try to start again at a lower level. I think 100 pushups in a 10 minute period is pretty good (where I left off), but not something to hurt myself over.
