Does this scare anyone else? This guy is trading dental work for hunting privileges!

I don't blame him a bit for bartering that trade. Most don't have dental insurance and if you don't own land it very hard to find some place to hunt that is not full of nut jobs (like most gov. land). I drive almost 300 miles to our family farm to hunt. I tried to hunt here in STL but those who allowed hunting on their property want you to pay per day or lease for the season. Tried my hand a hunting on gov. land that didn't go so hot. Try 3 separate years, each time I was dam near shot by someone who was lost and hunting in the wrong area. All of them were if it moves shoot it types.

Trades like this go on all the time, its like anything else always check the references.

Bartering is the oldest form of trade (when you think about it what is "trade" anyway in the context of buying/selling services?). Like Bubba said, there are sadly too many people without dental insurance. A lot of them are landowners. I'm surprised if he hasn't found a few people willing to take him up on his offer in this economy, especially.
