I just thought this was interesting since only 5 years ago people were saying that the world was going to blow up or something when the clock strikes midnight on Jan 1, 2000 (now, which time zone was that going to be?)...It seems that everyone is always trying to point to 'signs' of prophesy being fulfilled, and the end of the world is nearing...read this:

the chances of the world ending to day are the same as they were yesterday and are the same as they will be tomarrow, so dont make any long term plans

I think something fun to do is to listen to what the doomsayers have to say after the world doesn't end...
