I've been using my trusty Seasonic Power Angel power consumption meter since the summer of 2004 and I figured that since it is pushing 4 years old that I should replace it to make sure my power consumption numbers are spot on. I ordered in a Kill A Watt P3 Electricity Usage Monitor ($20 plus shipping) to update my old model...

They look about the same size and had the same weight... They couldn't be the same on the inside...

A couple minor differences, but the components are all identical down to the capacitor and resistors... Go figure... By a different brand part 4 years later and you get the same thing you started with... Like the old saying goes.. If it isn't broken don't try to fix it...

Oh and if you are wondering there is a 1-2W difference in the readings, but that isn't significant as what I was testing was reading ~1600W.

I want to crack open my power meter thing now, but it's plugged into my PC so I cant without shutting down first.

wow, the only the only thing i notice different about the two is that they fliped the big pink resistor over, or got it from a new OEM
