Personal experience with digital frames is this - you will end up turning them off. They REALLY can get annoying if you are looking at them!
I would pick one that you can adjust the timing into the minutes or even hours for picture changes to cut down on craziness.
As for the quality - depends on what size you want and what quality picture you are putting into it. If you take a 3mp picture and put it on a 11" frame, it will look a lot worse than a 6mp picture in the same frame.
We have a Kodak frame SV1011 (

I HATE the buttons for the menu on the back as they seem REAL slow to react to being pushed! Other than that, the only main complaint I have is that I can only set the max picture display time to 1hour.
I do NOT know if leaving these on at those high 1 hour settings or more will cause damage to the screens or not, since we have not kept it on long enough to find out

Oh and my 6mp pictures look GREAT in the frame - its nice and bright, with crisp colors. We got it at Circuit City, so you might want ot swing by a CC, BB, OD, etc and check them out.
