I signed the contract for my house on 8-3-2004. My foundation was dug on 4-5-2005 and poured on 4-19-2005. On 5-10-2005 it sits back filled, treated for water, and waiting for the subfloor to go on...
For the past month nothing has moved on it and the lumber hasn't even been delivered yet. I am talking with a lawyer with his niche being construction disputes next week. My builder said construction should start on it some time later this month. We will see.
Someone died on the concrete crew when the roads were being poured, so last month all contruction was shut down due to legal and insurance inspections. Not to mention OSHA was out there doing an investigation.
