St. Louis - Meat thief charged after being shot by bystander

Got to reading this in the national news and found out the event took place in St. Louis. Good for the bystander being able to help out.

Just thinking a little while back about someone on the hood of a car and was killed. The bystander may have saved that store managers life after all.

Glad to know I can use a firearm to protect myself and others without the fear of going to jail... People always ask why people own guns and this is the reason right here.

I think the key is that you have to feel threatened as well. I'm sure if you get the wrong DA they'd try to make an example out of you in that situation.

Glad to hear the CCW holer wasn't charged. Off all the things to steal, why steal meat?

I was talking to a D.A. here in California and he said if you have to shoot someone in self defense the best thing to say to avoid charges by any over zealous law enforcement agent is, "He came at me and I was terrified."
