If anyone is interested, I'm writing a "diabetic-ography" of my experience with Diabetes. I'd appreciate y'all taking a look at it to see what you think. If y'all wouldn't mind, please leave any comments, suggestions, slander  or thoughts in general in the comments section of the two chapters.

Thanks in advance. I really hope y'all will take a look.

Jack

"My brother put a stack of albums on the record player in an attempt to hopefully soothe me. The goddamn needle stuck at the beginning of "Dreamweaver" by Gary Wright which succeeded in creeping me out for several hours or maybe it was two minutes. With the fever, I don't know. I finally got up and turned the thing off. To this day, that song gives me the willies."

I had to post your quote, LMAO!. I enjoyed reading your history. Keep writting.

Read the introduction, have bookmarked to read the rest later (at work now).

Seems like this is going to be a good read, if emotional!

Chapter 4 is up. I apologize for encouraging y'all to join my "fan club" on the hubpages site. I didn't know it forces you to set up an account with the site before it will let you join. What an ass rip :x

Liked the intro, bookmarked and will DEFINITELY read. Having been recently diagnosed with type 2 I am still in the "denial" phase, hopefully this will wake me up. While I can still easily feel my son's Lego block in the middle of the night while I step on it going to the bathroom in the dark, and my aging eyes are Ok, it is too easy to still try to be invincible and not realize how devastating this disease can actually be (besides missing those Boston Creme donuts :) ).

I recently had a coworker who had an aquarium break (he had type 2 with progressive nerve damage and circulation issues). While cleaning up and pulling the soaked carpet he stepped on a carpet tack and didn't feel it (you know where this is going). The infection started in one toe, which was amputated then it spread further as the circulation issues prevented effective distribution of antibiotics. He retired on disability at a youngish age after a total foot loss because of a tack with some fish poop on it.

Keep writing as the message needs to be spread! (maybe it will kick me out of denial :) ).
