Recommendation for Camera under $120

Post by GI-JOE »

To all you photographer gurus out there, any recommendations? I must admit I am ill-informed when it comes to the current crop of digital cameras.

I was looking at these two:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6830144198

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6830120325

or

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... -_-Product
Which is kinda over my budget....but might be feasible.

Any good? Any better suggestions? Thanks guys!

Budget $120 MAX no more. (Already $20 over budget! )

Well, I had to make a decision, so I decided on the canon powershot A1100. Has some good reviews so here's hoping it will last quite a few years.

well feel better that you got the 1100 and not the 480. Picked on up for my mom for Xmas. Took it out to look it over and make sure it worked and and it has shutter lag like a mofo, feels cheap, macro sucks, and constantly get "flash charging" on the LCD when you try and do consecutive shots.

Image stabilization sucks too, now the 1100 is on sale I'm going to get that on and sell 480. Since I got it on BF New Egg says it can only be returned for exchange, no refund

hmm, i may get the 1100 later if it gets so much praise here, my 590 is good but the flash does take a while(and takes forever to save when you use flash, even with a class 6 card in)

Well, got a hold of newegg.... they are going to credit my account the $10 difference in sale price! :supz:

Although I didn't get the free shipping like it has now, but I'm just amazed they actually honored the sale price(actually I'm not, it's newegg :) ) even though I bought it a day before it went on sale. Most stores would say its your loss!
