headphone repair?

I accidentally pulled my mic in/headphone out jacks out of my headset 
Going to see if our electronics genius at work can fix it but just in case does anyone here know much about this kind of thing? This is the headset I have
and what has happened is the short wires outside of the little rubber connector have come detached
