Not to bum anyone out...but...here goes. I recently had someone in my family attempt to kill themself. I don't want anyone to go through the pain that my family has gone through the last 2 weeks. I never ever in a million years thought this would happen to us. Here is a great website that may prevent this from happening to someone you may encounter or know.

Yeah it is. Back when I used to be the assisant manager of a MSN christian chatroom, I ran into a lot of that. Those people have a special place in my heart just due to the fact that a girl I got to know really well tried multiple times to kill herself by binge drinking and pills. However, through a couple of years of talking to her and getting to know her extremely well, she gave it all up, she even became a Christian after this. I haven't heard much from her lately, but last I checked she was going to college and doing pretty well (guess her taking 15-18 hours a semester has gotten her busy, lol). A good lesson is to be learned from this: Intervention is key, but knowing the difference between those who are truly suicidal and those who are just craving attention is also necessary (I got a lot of those too in that room; I tried to offer some help, but they would never listen, and it really detracted from the others who really needed help).

Tks..for your thoughts. I really appreciate it! Like I said it's been tough on everyone, family, her kids and all. But, we are all taking this very seriously and trying to help them all through it as much as we can. She was definitely one of the serious ones about it. She was pissed when she realized it didnt happen. The whole thing is a HUGE eye opener to me! I mean I get down sometimes but NOTHING like that. It's very enlightning to see how people internalize and perceive things.
Anyway...tks APOP and friends.
