NBC wasted 2 hours of my life, looked cheap compared to beijing, and cauldron fail. all in all, i was bored by all this last night

yeah I watched Dexter Season One last night and skipped the Olympics... just not interesting this year.

I liked the opening but I heard from my friend that the ending failed. What happened?

It wasn't the worst opening I've seen, but when you can tell even Wayne Gretzky thinks it's lame(besides looking cold) then you know it didn't go over well. honestly, I didn't see the point in having to light 2 cauldrons, but after the first one failed I saw the point

i watched the first half. the only thing cool that i saw was the whale thing. that was pretty neat.

There was a malfunctions with the cauldron.
As you can see the left leg of the cauldron did not rise.

I guess I won't watch it online then...I didn't see the ceremony that night and didn't know if it would be worth watching.

The closing ceremony was equally as bad (or good depending on your opinion) as the opening ceremony. Bah.
