Black Holes Colliding..?

Post by Dark_Hawk_101 »

I was watching nova and reading some books and it seems that there are 2 suppermassive blackholes that are in the process of colliding right now. Its been going on for about a year. But when we saw these galatic canniblism in act we are looking into the past right? And blackholes literally rip the space time fabric creating holes in them and nothing can escape not even light (hence the name black holes). SO wouldnt these two super massive blackholes disrupted the space and time continuum ? So that means nothing going the way it should time going faster or slower and things going at speeds that shouldn't even be possible. Somehow that effect should have reached our galaxie being how close it is. THat means our time might have been disrupted over 20,000+ ago because of how many light years we are looking into the pass. Weird eh. Probaly not true but :lol:This is what i thought of blackholes colliding stuff. These are things that we should avoid in nature yet we are exploring them. I just wanted to get this out before i get moar info and lose these thoughts. Lol

Black holes collide all the time. The center of the galaxy is theoretically where most of this stuff happens as that's where the oldest stars are and where there is more density (we are located somewhere 3/4 outs in the arms of the milky way galaxy)

Space-Time Continuum doesn't work that way. Don't think of it the way sci-fi movies have portrayed it. Also, black holes do not work that way. Time is relative to the viewer. When you look at the sun, you are looking at it as it was a long time ago relative to you/where you are. There is no universal "time" that affected by black holes that will also disrupt your "time".

my neighbor sells insurance...i wish it was for blackholes.

The two blackholes consuming each other is just kind of a funny thought ... its very ironic.

If you imagined "matter" as fabric, black holes are the lack of fabric - the tear in your jeans. Two holes that consume each other are similar to two tears in your jeans ...consuming each other. However, are we to say that black holes are now considered matter being that they are consuming each other? Or...does it relate to math in that it is a double negative, therefore positive? or is consuming an incorrect word and they are actually just hanging out near each other?

I don't think the "consuming" has anything to do with it. That would imply that one is going to make the other go away. I think it is more like 2 blood sucking mega corporations going through a merger. Company A and Company B will no longer exist and we would be left with company C that is a larger blood sucking entity. Kinda like ATT and Verison joining to become "VeriATTious". I would not want to be in the middle of either process though...cause you could be sure your subatomic particles would be utterly annihilated in either situation.
