Zune Software Is Garbage

I was given a PC to fix (Limewire was installed shouldn't that say it all?) and backed up what I could. I noticed the PC had Zune software installed before I had to wipe the drive. I just reinstalled it and I absolutely hate it. I guess having used iTunes since a Gen 1 iPod I'm more familiar with the GUI. The iTunes software looks better, functions better, and is far easier to use. After telling it where to look for the music I had no idea how much was done and if it was in fact complete. The absolute biggest flaw with the software is how it manages your music. It is all over the place and the layout is not that user friendly. If you have an iPod be thankful you didn't get a Zune just based on the software. If I owned a Zune the first thing I'd figure out was how to use another app to add my music.
There is one function I do really like though. It has the ability to scan music (manually) for the correct ID3 tag info and album artwork. When I first fixed my own music this would've come in handy. Instead with iTunes you have to use third party apps to do this.
End rant.

Good to know. Personally, I don't usually like software that is bundled with MP3 players.

Yeah I've always been happy with windows music folder to have a need for third party software that complains when I want to convert my files to mp3's. It's also nice to just drag and drop files onto your mp3 player.

I have every generation of the zune. I had ipods but hated how unreliable they were and just hatted itunes. Could never get used to the UI.

Don't use either Zune or iTunes software. Both suck and drag a system down. My boss is CONSTANTLY having me fix something with iTunes. As for the Zune it usually causes the machine to lockup when the user fires up the equally system resource hog Photoshop, while running office, AutoCAD.
I don't own either one, will never own either one, mainly because I'm tired of working on the things

If I didn't have an iPod I wouldn't use iTunes either. For years I've had my music sorted (I think I have a mild form of OCD) and just ran Winamp, now Winamp Lite. I know there are other ways to add to an iPod but I'd rather just use something I'm familiar with and that just works.
Example of OCD:
