well this is a challenge to those of you modders who also know how to mod car engines and are more then fed up with gas prices, pollution etc.

That's nothing...
fuel cars with dead cats
BERLIN, Germany (Reuters) -- A German inventor has angered animal rights activists with his answer to fighting the soaring cost of fuel -- dead cats.
Christian Koch, 55, from the eastern county of Saxony, told Bild newspaper that his organic diesel fuel -- a homemade blend of garbage, run-over cats and other ingredients -- is a proven alternative to normal consumer diesel.
The Web site of Koch's firm, "Alphakat GmbH", says his patented "KDV 500" machine can produce what he calls the "bio-diesel" fuel at about 23 euro cents (30 cents) a liter, which is about one-fifth the price at petrol stations now.
Koch said around 20 dead cats added into the mix could help produce enough fuel to fill up a 50-liter (11 gallon) tank.
I can't believe what I am

this is funny. on the other hand my post is dead serious. water is virtually free, and a gas engine can be converted for little money to use water. it works similar to natural gas -except it uses hydrogen.

hmm, seems to me the "inexpensive alloy" has to be magnesium, because that's the only metal I know of that, when placed in water, draws that much hydrogen, which is why when you get magnesium strips wet, and you're not careful enough to keep it away from an open flame source, you're flambed, because hydrogen has a low flash point, and combined with oxygen, makes for a low-yield explosive, which is the only reason why I can see that it would do well in an internal combustion engine, because that's all that's used to power a gasoline-fueled engine: plenty of oxygen and fuel, compressed in a small space. only thing I would be worried about with one of these cars is the temperature rising due to the explosions occurring inside the engine; I think it would be a bit higher than that of a fossil-fueled vehicle, so you would probably have to go one better than fluid and ambient air to cool the engine, maybe something not quite as cold as liquid nitrogen? It may very well make for a decent way to not pay for fuel
