do unlocked phones from newegg come with a SIM card? i think buying an unlocked E71 after my contract expires would be better than upgrading..

No they don't come with Sim cards. At least from my experience when I buy unlocked phones they don't.

You can upgrade your E71 to something else right now. That's the beauty of using a GSM/HSPA phone. Upgrade and switch whenever you like.

that's great, but...carriers like verizon use CDMA technology, so i wouldnt need a SIM card to use their unlocked phones, right?

If you're on a CDMA carrier, then you're stick with the phones that the carrier provides.
