Seattle officer punches girl in face

However, a police officer is seen punching a 17-year-old girl in the face during the incident captured by a video camera on Monday.

I think he had a right to - resisting arrest, assaulting a police officer.

If the police have you, why struggle like you are guilty and want to get away, then have your friend step in and push the officer. I would arrest them both for the original crime plus assaulting an officer and resisting arrest.

Why do people think criminals should be treated with respect?

+1 Just goes to show you that the younger generation has no respect. Schools can't teach with kids having no respect. Just wait till the basketball game is over today. There will probably be riots after the game, no matter who wins. The parents have no time to deal with their own kids anymore or they just don't want to.

I have to say that I think criminals do get treated as though they are in a hotel. I think that police should have a lot more power given to them and I think that prison cells should have nothing more than a thin mattress, none of this sky TV and pool tables crap.

Hehe...take that beotch

That cop was a total weakling. He should have taken that girl down to the ground and cuffed her straightaway. He's lucky several more bystanders didn't choose to get involved or he would have been in real trouble.

Considering the area seemed to be predominantly colored, yea, he is lucky.

I make that statement based on the fact that if you get any group into showdown with a cop, all hell breaks loose.

I really dont get the outrage when a cop uses force against someone in these situations. She clearly pushes him in a hostile manner.

That bitch got exactly what she deserved. You push a cop, they should punch you in the face. They should use force to quickly bring the incident to a close.

Or those Mexican teenagers throwing rocks at a border guard, and he shoots one. Is he really supposed to run away and let them break into this country, or is he supposed to stand there getting pummeled by rocks?

Its like poking a bear, wtf are they thinking.

This anti law enforcement bull**** attitude makes any use of force by an officer some huge evil deed; and the criminal the officer has to deal with some saint. Id swear they think that a cop has to be being attacked by 50 taliban wth ak 47s and rpgs, to draw his weapon; and then it better be full of blanks!

Oh and kudos to the youngman that pulled the other bitch off the cop; stopping that **** from escalating further.

Levias and Rosenthal were arrested Monday afternoon after tangling with Officer Ian Walsh, who tried to cite Levias for jaywalking outside a Seattle high school

early '08:
In an interview with police, Rosenthal admitted using a screw driver to "break the ignition and start" a Dodge Caravan. The juvenile case against Rosenthal was dismissed after Rosenthal received a "deferred disposition." She was arrested again last August for allegedly punching and robbing a 14-year-old boy.

last February:
According to the affidavit sworn by King County Sheriff's Office Detective Eleanor Broggi, Levias became "loud an uncooperative" and told two deputies to "**** Off." At one point, she allegedly pushed Deputy Amy Zarelli, causing her to fall, with Levias landing atop her. After Levias was handcuffed, she kicked Zarelli in the stomach and called her a "bitch."

Wow it sucks to be the Seattle police, keep pulling these scumbags off the street, and the dam courts keep letting them go. Then they get a bunch of ACLU types calling em racists and fascists when they fight back.
