Intel IO Meter - Help? Guide?

Post by Major_A »

I see that this benchmark is becoming a standard De facto test with SSD. I consider myself a reasonably smart guy but I just can't figure out how to run this benchmark. Is there a guide or can someone help me out? I've download the program 3 or 4 times and it all ended with no test run and an uninstall.

There really is no guide... you just need to select the drive you want tested and then set up all the parameters and click the run button up top. The reason is there is no guide is because of all the configurations you can make... the sky is the limit... I run my testing with a custom test file and then use a parse tool in excel to extract just the data that I need. It's not a clean and simple program to download and click run on.

I can't figure out how to even select the drive. I'm assuming that's what the select a worker error is telling me. And if I can't get step one down then there's no way I'll figure out the rest.
