Bloddy 'Pirate Act'

Post by bliSSter »

just saw this this a.m.....

http://news.com.com/%27Pirate+Act%27+ra ... =nefd.lede

this would be one of the biggest crocks of monkey spunk i've ever seen in my life.....riding on top of the already atrocious DMCA....it's one thing if the price of already inflated CDs get's bumped due to piracy...it's completely another when the tax payer is stuck footing the f*cking bill...when did i sign on as an american citizen to foot the bill for the entertainment industry?...and gimme a break...the people who are most likely to actually pirate a product, WEREN'T GONNA BUY THE FREAKING PRODUCT TO BEGIN WITH!....

i'm all for supporting artists and if you enjoy a product, go buy it....i don't download music anymore since the launch of the online music services (namely itunes music store)...but this is SUPER WEAK....

"Why should someone be sued by the government and then be subject to a second lawsuit brought by a private party?" said Corwin, the Sharman Networks lobbyist.
I don't see how that can be pulled off. Using taxpayer money to foot the lawsuit and then taking being sued by the RIAA next. This is sad. I hope they don't have good lobbists for this one.
