Hey, what's up, im known everywhere as 'eman'...first name - Elliot, man...to compensate for my lack of man? I'm still not quite sure why i named myself that...

anyway, could anyone fill me in on the little things about this forum (i.e. mod's, jerks, respected people, the 2 girls, the admin...)

Not much to tell. Everyone here is nice and respectful...I haven't seen any trolls swing through in a while and there are a handful of knowledgeable "regulars". It's well moderated and great prizes are given away from time to time. All of this I'm sure you'll see by taking a look around. Welcome.

I've yet to see anyone flaming someone, and if they do, they make it very clear that no offence is intended..
Also there is never an unanswered post! If I personally see something, and I can't help, I try to give'm a BUMP!

Apoptosis is "the man" when it comes to laptops etc. If your interested in building your own...this is the place to be!

I showed up at LR after looking for OCing help, the people here are as helpful as they can possibly be considering my processor (rare Socket 939 Athlon 64 3400) doesn't OC for crap...anyway the forum contests and the daily jibber-jabber keep me coming, and sometimes I find things here that I wouldn't find anywhere else...

Exactly.
What can I say that hasn't already been said?! This forum really is a unique place. I've been to many other forums and have seen how some can be full of n00bish flamers and crappy trolls, but I have not seen anything of the likes here. It's very straight forward and everyone really just wants to help and chat about the stuff we love to do!

I also feel it's the age demographic in play as well....I know quite a few of us are either in their near mid to mid-twenties, and some much older than that (won't divulge who, lol, but there's some), I've found that usually shows a big difference in the chat crowd (there is a whole lot of difference between 18 and 22, for example). That's just one man's opinion, as I always say, not to mention there are some brilliant minds in here too

as for the in's and out's of the forum there are no jerks, every one has something good to contribute. We are very open, tolerant, and engaged. When we can we go into all the depth needed, and when required we simplify things to any level. So welcome!
