Behind The Scenes: The Death Of Stanley "Tookie" W

I ran across an interesting site of a guy that was present at the final act in the case of Tookie Williams, the co-found of the Crip Street Gang.

All the photographs and videos were taken outside the gates of San Quentin Prison on the evening of December 12, 2005 during a vigil marking the execution of Stanley "Tookie" Williams, which happened shortly after midnight that same day. I was shocked and amazed by what he showed in his pictures and videos. The media really is one-sided and didn't show ANYTHING that was really going on at the "rally".

When KTVU reporter Ken Wayne selected someone from the crowd to sum up the opinions of Californians about the execution, whom did he choose, out of all the people there? You guessed it. The same ISO enforcer -- who had been shouting communist slogans all night and who just minutes earlier had committed assault on a peaceful protester.

stupid, just flat out stupid.

although i completely didn't agree with the death sentence for this guy, i don't like how the media one-sided it in california. that couldn't have helped anything.... only make things worse.

I don't understand how so many people could have so much compassion for this guy whose gang he started killed over 10,000 people! I don't know whether I'm for the death penalty or not, but I can't imagine how Arnold "killing" him makes him a worse man than Tookie who started up that sort of gang... :ANAL:

I don't think he could be legally responsaibly for all those deaths. But his crimes were enough.
I can't understand all the "Save Tookie!"nonsense, no matter how he repented, and whatever he tried to do to make up for it, he could not reverse the mayhem he started.
he got and deserved (as much as anyone) the death penalty for murders he personally committed.

He never repented for his crimes. To his dying day he claimed he never murdered anyone. But he did say he was reformed, what ever that means.

it means that he used to be a violent gang member, but he changed. dispite him being a violent gang member, he didn't commit the crimes for which he was convicted.

But the law said he did!
Despite have 'adequate representation' throughout his trial and many appeals, plus the extra attention he received as a "celebrity hood" not one judge or politician found convicing reason to block the execution.

He didn't commit the crimes? LOL! He was only found with the shotgun, and while you can't do ballistics on a shot gun, you can check the pin pattern.* The pin pattern and the ejection marks matched the shells at the scene. Add to it the witnesses and you got a solid case.

He still was a violent gang member. He was known to donate his PX money to known gangmembers. He was also known to throw chemicals and other things at guards.

He never wrote those Anti-Gang books, he only had his name put to them. Also, he only sold 330 copies, so to claim he was saving youth is a fallacy.

Finally, he refused to denounce the Crips. He only said he no longer was a gangmember. In this, he also refused to testify or debrief on any of the crimes that he or others commited when he was involved.

*Pin pattern is the pattern of the pin hitting the firing cap and the mark the ejection "handle" that pulls the shell out.

Ok....
also, he wrote the books and 330 kids who might get the message is better than 0 people.
Actually, most were bought by Professors and others who supported him and family members. In fact, the claim his book (which he didn't write) was in libraries in LA was shown to be untrue, till just before his execution when it was revealed. They were all of a sudden picked up by the LA libraries.
he also did renounced gang like and gang violence.
No, he said gang violence is bad. He never said, "Gangs are Bad." He just said violence is bad. Even then his actions said otherwise. Still that doesn't mean he can get off. It reminds me of a drunk driver who kills a kid and says, "I am sorry, alcohol is bad." It doesn't mean he isn't going to get justice by going to jail.

Where is this Right wing? Instead let me read between the letters:

Dude, you just pwned me so bad, that I'll attack the political ideology I think you have.

not exactly. contrary to the popular right wing mentality to which you subscribe, i wasn't trying to attack you. therefore, your attack towards me was unwarranted and lame.

let me rephrase what i said previously in a language you can understand:

"dude, just because you think of this dude as a n***er doesn't mean everyone else does."

LOL!

Yes, it is because I don't like black people, never mind the fact that I think all child molesters should get the DP (and most Child Molesters are white....)

Boy, I have to wonder....how much of your family is ethnic?

The law (legal system) isn't always correct, but it is always right.....ie It is a system we have evolved, to deal with people who refuse to follow the rules (laws) enacted to assure the general public (average person) safety.
yes, cases do exist were the authorities "railroaded' a suspect to make the case, but this isn't likely one of them.

Because I am sure your family is as diverse as mine is.....Oh no....I am sorry, you just wanted to be the first one to bring up the color of his skin and then point the figure at me in an ad hominum attack.....

Not that it isn't the first time I have been called RACIST. Heck, In Laws have called me that. :finga:
