It has been a long time since I done a hood scoop. Question I have what can you use to secure a hood scoop to a car permanently? Is it fiberglass or some other type of bonding agents. I have a 2011 Ford Focus, and I want to move the air cleaner from the driver side and place it in the center of the hood and use either a round or oval air cleaner. Kind of going old school with it. I figured out how to everything under the hood, mass air flow sensor the ducting etc. etc. it is that hood scoop that got me stumped. I need one in order to clear an canter mounted air cleaner. I do not want a "Cold air intake" POS, they do little good for the amount of money they cost.

for something like that you need to glass it in. If you are worried about it being permanent you might just want to buy a new hood to cut up. You'll have to paint it anyway.

yup, check into junk yards and see if you can get a deal on a good hood. lots of cars get his in the back or side, so you might be able to find one for cheap. Maybe even in your color.
You looking to do the Roush hood scoop or something like that?
