WD-40 The Duct Tape of Liquids

My little boy comes in the other day and tells me some bees are building a nest on the front porch eaves. I look out, and sure enough there is a small umbrella shaped nest of Paper Wasps under construction with 5 or 6 of them already working busily. I go to find some bug killer, but have none of the spray kind. Bummer! First I picked up a can of Mass Oxygen Sensor Cleaner spray and tried that which irritated them but within an hour they came back and continued working. Then my eye catches my trusty can of WD-40. After a couple of squirts from Daddys Little Helper, all the wasps are dead and none have even tried to return to the nest!
Gotta Love It!

Yep, I thought of that but it was hanging where my vinyl siding would get the overspray and I was afraid the solvents in the carb cleaner would discolor it or worse eat it up.

Hmm note to self, where there is a wasp nest there will be WD-40, or Duck oil which so far as I know is the same.
And as a bonus, if they happen to be building a nest near squeaky hinges they too will be sorted.
