rafts can be nice, I try using whats called "brim" or a "skirt" first. Less plastic used. Sometimes the raft can be a complete pain to get the part off of.

Good about the board.

The trick part of print times is finding the balance of speed and print resolution. I print most if not all my parts at .2 layer height with the .4 nozzle. Looking at getting a couple .8 mm and maybe a 1 mm nozzle to speed up the really big parts.

With the printer they sent a set of nozzles - .2,.3,.4,.6,.8 - I hear the .8 is really only for stuff you dont care about detail with but until I would try it, I have no clue. I am so curious how much better the .2 nozzle would do for detail but the print times will be astronomical!

I usually don't have to use a raft but I always do the skirt to get the juices flowin - you told me about that I believe :partyman:

Now if I could learn one of the programs to design really cool stuff....ugh, cad programs are so daunting! I need an easy way to scan an object and print it or else tell the computer - I want this shape with a hole at this point and make it so a plaque can be inserted in the middle...now make it so...lol

Have to say, 3D Builder that is with Windows 10 is not bad! I actually used it for a project I am printing now. If it works I am gonna put it on thingiverse as a remix :) I am gonna be in the big time now baby
