Snow? :O

I've been watching the news on the Blizzard, the NE US has been hit with!
Some areas are getting up to 36"(just under 1Meter)

Yep I am still here LOL We did not get that much here (south central PA-biggest town close by is York and I am in Dallastown a bit south and tiny bit east), maybe 8 inches. Hard to tell because we had a change over to freezing rain and sleet that smooshed the 5 inches down so maybe closer to 10-12 inches. Snow blower is sucking down oil like it has an addiction so might have to look into a new one Damn things are not cheap but what is . I wish we would have gotten the 3ft! Winter without snow is just cold and cold sux by itself. I will try and take a picture when it gets brighter out.

That's a lot of snow. Maybe 4-5 inches at most here. Awaiting pics

I read earlier that shoveling snow out your way can be deadly! Hope you're getting along with your neighbors!
I for one am happy to let you have all the snow you want, I can live without it!
Getting too old to dig myself out! Well, maybe just dont wanna do it anymore!

Had to snowblow a path in the yard to be able to feed the deer

You can see on the roof of the old smoker how it looks like hardly anything compared to the ground. When that freezing rain stuff hit it really compressed the snow we had

Wait till we get some big ones ;) Only happens once in a great while but we have had 30+ inches already

Feeling lucky so far, we're around 3.5"
But, the forecast says we will probably get 1" to 2" this weekend and MAYBE 12" by mid week!

We are going to get another 2-6 tonight and tomorrow. Wish it was feet and not inches! SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!

Its snowed for the last 4 nights/days!
In total about 2" and the cold air has not let up yet! I dont think we've hit 20F in the last 4 or 5 days!
Tomorrow/Today(Thur) is supposed to be the warmest this week 23F!
Biggest problem is I live in the StL area and No One slows down for snow untill it hits 5"+
Just about everyday one hiway or another gets shutdown for an accident or multiple accidents!

Thats my mothers mailbox laying on the ground after being hot by a neighbors mustang!

Some people don't much care for other belongings (unless they came and told you). it's reckless driving under such conditions. Over here 1" is enough for us to be driving carefully even with little to no salt on the roads.

He did Not come and tell us!
My mom's neighbor across the street told me today, he had the video(s) of the car hitting the mailbox!
(I'm not sure how to post a video here, otherwise I would!)
My mom, my wife and I drove through the neighborhood and seen the car sitting in a driveway and checked it out and there was a big dent in the rear corner where he slid into the mailbox. Went to the door and found out it was the home owners son who hit it and they are saying they will take care of it!(We Hope!)

People are just stupid in the snow around here! 4wd and they think it can do anything until they cause the accidents. I see so many stupid people in bad weather it isn't funny.

I hope her neighbors do take care of it! They should to keep it quiet and not let his insurance company know. If they don't, report it to her homeowners insurance (if the neighbor will let you have a copy of the video that would be nice) and then they can report to his auto insurance and watch his rates go through the roof. Most homeowners insurance wont cover it but just to get hem to notify his auto insurance would be payment enough....if they dont fix it.

I have copies of 3 videos all showing his car either hitting the mailbox are leading up to it!
He was playing in the snow when he lost control and took out the box!
When I was at the house I took a pic of his car with License plate just in case!!!
I now wish I had took a pic of the damage to his car!

so the video clearly shows him playing in the snow while driving his car. from the picture it clearly isn't a wide road so it was bound to end bad. lets hope they fix it and that's the end off it. if not off to the auto insurance it is

If they choose to not be a good neighbor and replace the mailbox, we will contact the police and call it a Hit & Run!
But, we really hope it does not come to that!

I did a little research and thats what I came up with also! Oh Well!

Back to the snow....
Its 11:30pm(2-14-21) here, we have a "Winter Storm Warning"
Its snowed almost everyday for the last 6 or 7 days but each time not much! Just enough to make traveling sketchy!

So they're calling for 1" to 3" over night(into Monday morning) and then another 4" to 6" during the day on Monday!
We'll get a small break and then on Wed into Thur its supposed to snow again, but so far no real predictions on how much!
So far, for the last 8 to 10 days we have not made it above 21F and the last 2 or 3 days we havent made it to 15F.
Todays high was 8F !
Its Feb. 14th Valentines Day and I'm ready for the end of Winter!

Yea we have been getting stupid little storms every other day too. Ours have been mostly freezing rain, sleet, ice....a mess. I would rather have snow than this crap!

Winter will soon be over.......maybe......
