In honor (Ken - read as honour

) of St. Patrick's Day, let us pray.
*Beer Prayer*
Our lager,
Which art in barrels,
Hallowed by thy drink.
Thy will be drunk,
(I will be drunk)
At home as in the tavern.
Give us this day our foamy head,
And forgive us our spillages,
As we forgive those who spill against us.
And lead us not to
incarceration,
But deliver us from hangovers.
For thine is the beer,
The bitter and the lager.
Forever and ever.

Saint Patrick is a Brit folks. He was captured by Irish pirates and made a slave for I think 6 years when he escaped and returned to his British homeland that was under the Roman Empire's rule (Ireland was not under the same rule). Later on he moved back to Ireland to spread the gospel. He also used the Shamrock as an example to explain the Trinity.
I guess you could say that he was a Brit but his heart was Irish?
