So much for going out for a drink!

I say let them get wasted if they want and get run over or jump off balconies...hopefully they die from it, i dont want those genes being past on to the next generations. its also a form of population control...

Chalk one up to the UK. :P

Legal drinking when your 18, and not getting arrested for it!

"Being in a bar does not exempt one from the state laws against public drunkenness, Beck said."

hmm... isnt it PRIVATE property? or does the state pay all the taxes for the bars ;)

I bet Mexican restaurants are going to be hurting in just over a month! I'd like to read the public drunkeness law....surely it has an exemption for places that serve alcohol? I can see how you shouldn't be drunk in a grocery store, or Wal-Mart or the bank or something, but a bar or restaurant? I think this is getting a little too cracked down. They should just station the police outside the bar and nab drunks as they get in the car instead. That makes more sense to me.
