My boy was just lucky we had an extra box. He would be S.O.L. for no sponge bob, the boxes are not cheap. It couldnt have been the crappy $20 dvd player :( should have seen the look on his face when I told him if it happend again he would loose the tv untill he was old enough to buy his own, you would have thought I kicked him in the teeth.

side note for new parents, if its quiet and you know the kids are not napping.... there is a problem.

it got quiet for about 3 minutes, went to his room to see what was up and the boy and my daughter was both standing in front of the tv very quietly talking "you tell him... no you... you did it"

LOL didn't even relise what benzene was...
Benzene, also known as C6H6, PhH, and benzol, is an organic chemical compound that is a colorless and flammable liquid with a sweet smell. It is a carcinogen. Benzene is no longer used as an additive in gasoline but it is an important industrial solvent and precursor in the production of drugs, plastics, synthetic rubber, and dyes. Benzene is a natural constituent of crude oil, but it is usually synthesized from other compounds present in petroleum. Benzene is an aromatic hydrocarbon, and the second [n]-annulene ([6]-annulene).
there is sodium benzoate in Dr. Pepper (looking right at the lable)

nah, I just saw benzene in stev's post and didnt think anthing of it.

then when I saw immortal's post I looked up what benzene was. Then after looking at the lable of the 2 liter on my desk I found that sodium benzoate is in soda, its an preservitive additive put in almost all carbonated drinks. not benzene witch is caustic and would kill you.

god I love google, couple quick searches and you too can sound smart :)

hehe yeah google makes us all smarter...

i just thought the irony would have been nice had it been the offending Dr Pepper can/bottle.

yeah, sodium benzanoate is slightly different, cause of the extra carboxyl group on it it wont kill you!

The reason i knew about it is cause i love Chemistry! :D
