looking for a computer desk

I will probably be getting an apt soon and i was looking for a semi-light weight (meaning non of that pure red oak stuff etc..) L or U shaped desk. I wish i could take what i have now but its way way too big. LOL
Something similar to this, with cubbies and storage space for cheap! LOL

I have about 2 computers, 3 lcd monitors, 2 UPS, JUNK and radio equipment to put on it so if you have any better ideas....IM ALL EARS!!!!! I am trying to stay under or around the $1000 mark.

I can tell you to do what I did, which was to shop around at used furniture stores to see what they have. I got mine, metal with a glass top, for $30. It's about 4 feet tall, 5-6 feet wide, and has a built in keyboard tray. My giant server case can't fit under it, but...

My desk has a bar for support that's about two thirds up from the floor between it's two legs, and the case I have can't fit under it. It has to go beside my desk.
Some people just don't understand what I'm talking about.

For my desk, I got a used huge conference table and used that. Works perfectly, it is sturdy and wide enough for me to have my desktop, laptop and another space free to work. It costed $40.
So try checking CL.
