whats so great about wrestling anyway? why is it such a big deal in the united states? if you want violence in a sport you can watch UFC or boxing or something like that. Not man enough to watch the real deal? then go and cry under your bedsheets. i just dont get why it gets any popularity, its stupid beyond belief.

and btw i love how the guy goes "are you guys ok?" after they both start screaming in pain. what idiots.

I think that has something to do with the fact that wrestling has rules and UFC really doesn't. Wrestling is a sport, sometimes entertainment but a person usually doesn't get hurt since it is regulated. This is vs. UFC, which is pretty much street fighting and though the new sport has found quite a following many people still object, because of the assosiation or implication of street fighting. In addition to that you might not enjoy it quite so much if you've actually been in a street fight. Then again, depending on where you are that could very well be the case. What it really comes down to, I think, is that wrestling is thought of as more "civilized" and mainstream in the United States, as opposed to UFC and that is why more people seem to watch it.

ok my thought on the wrestling thing - 2 guys rolling around in a ring does not constitute a sport - maybe soft-core porn for gays, but not a sport. Even in high school the wrestlers thought they were so tough..lol..never got many girls though...hmmmm
