got a question

Post by chotachatri12 »

I have had a charger for my Toshiba Satellite L25 S-1192 which apparently does not charge the battery. http://www.ebatts.com/toshiba_satellite ... c-c10.aspx
This link is for the charger but my question is will this charger charge my Toshiba Satellite L25 S-1192 notebook battery.
I needed to know, becuase i am tired of my notebook acting as a desktop but smaller.

Does your ac adaptor power your laptop? If it does it should be able to charge it also!
If it powers it and it doesnt charge I'd look at your battery being a problem.

I have a problem with my Toshiba Laptops ac cord not getting a good connection. If its not inserted just right it wont power it or charge it!

It is most likely a battery problem :(
while the tell you the batteries are good for 500 or so charge/discharge cycles (about a year 1 &1/2 of daily use)
you are lucky if you have gotten 1/2 that many before you notice reduced run times or even no charging (laptops are NOT cheap to buy OR maintain :( :x
A couple things to check in the manual/MFG website is if there is a fuse/circuit breaker somewhere either in the battery or in the power/charging circuit that MIGHT be user replacable/resetable.
If you are still under warranty (batteries are usually NOT included, or have a very limited time span, but check to see if it's a recalled version (free replacement 8) ) or if they offer a reduced replacement price.
if warranty is over, I would consider an Aftermarket battery for a reputable reseller (not the cheapest, but still 1/2-1/3 the price of a factory battery) that offers a replacement/return option.
I've had good luck at http://batteries.com/index.asp and they even free rush shipped replacements for 2 out of 36 that were found to be defective 2-3 months later for a client. (I recommend allowing for yearly replacements for all laptop buyers, and to buy several spares for power users/road warriors who tend to eat/lose batteries even faster than expected
If you can find a friend that uses the same model batteries/charger you can ask them to test your battery and charger.
