for those who appreciate the wholesome, nurturing, and generally tasteful animated goodness of Aqua Teen Hunger Force...

Heh, I heard about this... and the severe over-reaction over it. Apparently they've arrested those involved  Stupid paranoia

not really. They didn't have a permit, they would have been arrested either way.

yeah, but there wouldn't have been this kind of reaction pre-9/11. This reactionary, work everyone up into a righteous indignation lather, over-blown political stick shaking makes me sick. We're all victims over here. Although, we're not suffering casualties in the thousands per month are we? If 9/11 changed a country for the worse, it's Iraq. Now, they live with terror: terror we created.

you know what I like it better. I rather be safe than sorry. If I saw those and didn't know what they were I would have called the cops. Who knows what sickos are out there

I understand your point of view and respect it. yes, if someone was concerned they should have called the cops, but to make it a media spectacle was unnecessary. Now, boston wants to milk it for all it's worth. It didn't cause 2 million dollars worth of trouble.

Boston wants nothing of the sort. The media made it a spectacle. Having to call out the bomb squad, swat, a ton of patrols, Fire, Ambulance, cordon off the area around these things, disrupt traffic, etc, costs a ton. You gotta pay all these guys, pay for there gas, etc. Trust me Mubbles (Mayor Menino for you non-Mass people) was pissed, that was mad as I have ever seen him.

It's all good. I'm not trying to launch a personal tirade against boston. I just believe it's all just grown out of proportion. To me, Turner should have to pay the fine, but I wouldn't prosecute the guy who put up the signs. There are people out there deserving of actualy jail time. Of course, my information is dated as I'm not currently in the news loop.

Turner is paying the fine, AFAIK. That's were the 2Million comes from. Or at least they are paying part. I believe its still under negotiation. Lets face it those guys broke the law. The deserve to go to jail. Will they, I doubt it, they'll probably get off with community service. They'll strike a deal, I'm sure of it. Trust me it wasn't a spectactle here. I walked into my dorm after class, and my roommate went there are supposedly some bombs in boston, but they turned out to be a hoax. And that was it, even the local news didn't really cover it the next day

That's what I get for listening to the media, which I normally don't or advise anyone to do.

Yeah national news made a big deal out of it. Especially Fox News. God I hate that channel. They are just retarded

still a little jawdropped though
