Hello all! Today is my 21st birthday and I thought that you all should know!

Unfortunately I can't go out and drink until my brain dies because I have three midterms this week. Thank you University of Iowa.

But if any of you live in the Iowa City, Iowa area, you should head to Summit on Thursday, One-Eyed Jake's on Friday, or The 3rd Base/Fieldhouse on Saturday, as I will be getting pitchers all night long for each occasion!!

I've decided if it won't kill you, and you are all done with midterms and you can actually hold that many shots then yes, if not then just go have a hell of a time. happy birthday.

well i did nearly 40 rum and cokes 5 years ago...i dont remember much of it..still dont...but i was 19 at that time(didnt get carded)..long as ya have a driver and dont get too nutty..go for it happy b-day

Not only should you do 21 shots but you should also have a friend take a picture of you after each shot to post on here so we can see the progression of your smashed-ness.

I ended up doing 23 shots my 21st birthday --- The first was a a three wise men that my buddy Matt bought me and the last was a double of something on fire (possibly a Flaming Dr. Pepper). I had a complete blast on my 21st birthday and will remember it my entire life. I still visit the telephone poll that held me up while I puked after midnight (yes, I held all 23 from happy hour till midnight). Sadly I can't remember all the shots in between -- get a t-shirt or a shot list and write them down!

While I totally think that doing 21 shots is smart, just be sure you do it with friends you can count on. I got completely smashed and ended up at a girls house with a bunch of Alpha Sigma Alpha's that helped me nurse the wounds the next two days... hehe

The T-Shirt and post-shot pictures are genius!! And diecca I CAN hold down 21 shots....I've done it before. But that was when my body didn't outright reject hard liquor upon hitting my esophagus... Oh well! I'll probably try anyways. And another weird thing, I don't barf anymore when I drink, I chugged 1/3 of a pitcher of vodka and simply passed out for a couple hours, woke up and held it down no problem.

I remember hitting so many bars on my 21st birthday ( back in the stone age ) that I lost count! Ended up at a stripper firend of mine's house - so at least I woke up happy

if you have GOOD friends along, go for it, but most friends get drunk and tend to think it is funny for you to end up in an alley way or at non-perty girls house ;)

How do you think a old man of 89 will feel? Here in Holland they wouldn't bother, drinking as much as your age is will decimate our grey old population for sure

I had voted NO since the health risk is very high with that many of shots. Even with dicecca112's comment about 10 is nearly pushing it.

In other words, have fun on your birthday, just don't kill yourself literally.
