Out-of-date Laws

Inspired by this story on CNN ( http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/02/23/dancin ... index.html ), you can not dance in a bar in New York City! So post up any out-dated laws you have heard of... here is one I heard in college.

There are no sorority houses in Kirksville, MO because there is an old law that states that no more than X (I can't remember the exact number) number of girls can live in the same house because it would then be classified as a whorehouse!

Same law is in MA. But you can get a waiver and its really never enforced.

There is a lot of laws like this apparently. It just takes too much time and effort to re-write them.

Over here it is illegal to drive a bicycle on the sidewalk. Although, I think they have this law in case somebody wants to sue the city.

but the most idiotic of them all to me is the sodomy laws in some states, that prohibit oral sex even in case of a married couple... if you are unlucky enough, to be in such a state and get a hard headed, conservative judge - you could get years in prison for having oral sex with your wife... if they find out
