The place looks big enough to live in, it would make for a great fallout shelter and arms room.........;)

"Under this ordinary house. . . " Ordinary? Look at the size of it, the style, the nice rolling hill it is on, the landscaping, the polished concrete driveway, etc. I wish my house was so "ordinary."
With its own supply of Pot too! All it needs is a good stereo room and a good album collection and it might be very comfy indeed.

I'm having a hard time believing that was built specifically for that purpose. The hydrolic rammed door alone would be impossible to move unless it was in place durring construction.
More than likely this was a decomissioned government facility. They pop up for sale all the time. Check out
http://www.missilebases.com if your interested. I've been considering buying the communications vault they have for sale in Missouri. But at $190K unfinished it's steep.

There was one in Paris, MO up until about a month ago I believe. 15K sqft. For $200,000 that's a heluva price. Hell, even the one in Polo's a steal really.

Thats a nice little set up. I suppose if you have something like that its not the only one. when you pay cash i bet you would be surprised how much stuff you can get away with... he probally bought the lot knowing about the caves and built the home from the ground up.
