Sitting here, not nearly wasted enough, watching something called "Saul the Moleman". Now, I've watched this programming block on and off for a few years and it generally ranges from 'mildly insipid' to damn clever, but this show runs, full speed, into a scary place where the totally bizarre is hackneyed and trite. Help me Lucy, it's dark down here.

they started slipping when they took FMA off of the lineup, and i'd rather watch Inuyasha than sit through Peewee Hermans playhouse or that mole/saul/whatever BS that they have on now.

but i'm heavily anticipating the ATHF Colon, Movie Film For Theaters! coming out this weekend. :)

remember paranoia agent? or cowboy bebop? or Outlaw Star? i'd even go back to when they had Neo-Genesis: Evangelion or whatever it was, since i wasnt into anything from japan then... but yeah, the tim and eric awesome show must die. and peewees playhouse and that saul the moleman crap.

i hate to say it but [AS] has been making some super horrible moves lately.

Most of this stuff is on Sunday nights - at least I haven't seen it on the regular weekday schedule or the Saturday night Anime block. It has gotten progressively more strange over the last few months. It's like they turned over programming time to a couple of psychopaths who create shows to entertain each other and they are the only ones who 'get' the jokes. Weird, just plain weird.

I'd like to see the ATHF movie too, but I'm not sure I'd want to be in a theater filled with ATHF fans. But any movie that can shut down a major US city (Boston) has to be seen. I'll just have to wait for the DVD.

on edit:

I don't suppose I will have to wait too long for the DVD release!

I watch it myself. I can't say I've seen Pewee on in several months though. I usually watch Futurama, Family Guy, and whatever comes after. So, from 1am to 3am. At 3am, there is some anime show on, and that stuff doesn't interest me at all, so off the TV goes. I love ATHF myself, I just seem to miss it most of the time.

Did anyone see the newest ATHF with the brains and the car wash? I thought it was HORRIBLE!

Meatwad sounded wierd, so did carl, and it wasnt funny at all. It's like they got some different voice actors, and new writers.

anyway, if the ATHF movie will be at all like that newest episode, I will not go see it.

dont hate man, athf has always been hit or miss sketch work and even at its worst its better than almost %90 of the *new* crap they've put on adultswim in the past few seasons.

I used to love Sealab 2021 before Harry Goz (Captain Murphy) died of cancer....he was my favorite character so it wasn't the same after that.

If you're in a mood to enjoy the grand spectacle of human tragedy, go spend some time on the Adult Swim bulletin boards. If you ever thought that the ATI vs NVidia war was a bit over the top, if you wonder how anyone could invest so much emotional energy into chip companies like AMD or Intel, go to the Adult Swim boards and witness the true depth of fanboi depravity. Much like a train wreck or a 40 car pile up, it has to be seen, in person and up close, to really drive home that cautionary message.
